CalUCA Holds its Second Lobby Day

CALUCA held its second lobbying day in Sacramento with Board President Rob Mahan and Board Member Dr. Eric Ellis guided by Lobbyist Kelli L’Heureux from Resilient Lobby. Together, they met with 12 different California Senators and Assembly members to advocate for greater access to Urgent Care centers in California for Medi-Cal patients, addressing widespread contracting challenges and highlighting the cost-saving potential Urgent Care centers offer the state and its residents.

They were met with support from the lawmakers, and hope to grow and capitalize on this support in the future. CalUCA President Rob Mahan says, “Our aim is to give Urgent Care centers a voice and consideration in current and future bills in California, where in the past there has not been one.”
